Comparison with the new bought Galvanoplast

The Photo on the left shows the original relief, on the right the new bought galvanic copy. Both look very similar from the front, but you can see the traces of processing on the back. With the galvanic copy, the traces left by this technique are visible everywehre, especially on the edges. The surfaces are also covered with smaller metal balls. In general, the surface of the galvanic copy is coarse-pored und rough. All photos are from the back.

These photos show the two reliefs from the front. The original has two deep cracks in the metal plate. The cracks are only visible in the copy, they are not real.
